Life at Pacifico

Comfort

Each of the four buildings at Pacifico is divided into three floors, each of which serve as a Suite.  Each Suite has several bedrooms with shared bathrooms, a common area, and a kitchenette at the center of the suite.  Each suite also has a porch or patio where members can enjoy fresh air and light.

Diversity

The suites at Pacifico have their own characteristics, designed to allow people of many different lifestyles to share the space at Pacifico happily.  Some of the suites allow pets, while others are permanently pet-free to provide an allergen free environment.  Some suites are very quiet, with early quiet hours, in order to allow member a studious place to live, whereas other suites have more permissive noise policies.

Putting you in Control

The members of Pacifico have the ability to change the nature of their suites once they have moved in, but the suites are also there to allow incoming members more information on where in Pacifico they want to live, and a better experience for them when they arrive by removing the friction of disagreements over issues within your living space.

Choice

As a member of Pacifico, you are entitled to use all common facilities in all buildings.  Because of the different spaces within the coop, you may find yourself spending time with your friends who live in a more social part of the coop than you, or you may find yourself sitting and quietly studying in a more undisturbed part of the coop.  So instead of sharing one living room with your room mates in an apartment, living here at Pacifico you have more than a dozen living rooms, so you can always find a space to fit your mood!

"I have been an exchange student from Germany in the years 2004-2005. Just a minute ago I found this web page and I have to say, that I found the best place to stay in Davis. My time with the peoples from all over the world made my stay an outrageous experience! There is every time something to do, or if you are a couch potato like I was every time nice people to meet in the living quarters! I hope everybody is doing well, I often think of you guys "well meet twice in lifetime!" "
